Karen Wicker manages the firm’s fast-growing Oklahoma City office, and she does so with a wealth of experience.
She’s worked on a number of stories, issues and crises. And, she’s done it from both sides of the desk – as a reporter and as a PR practitioner.
Karen worked 10 years as a TV reporter before becoming a PR professional, first working for a medical school before joining the firm. Consequently, Karen can help her clients navigate through a wide range of waters – from the news room to the Capitol, health care, donor development and community endeavors.
• Education: bachelor’s degree in journalism, master’s degree in human relations, both from the University of Oklahoma
• Community Involvement: Graduate, Leadership Oklahoma; Graduate, Leadership Oklahoma City; Member, Oklahoma Academy for State Goals; Rotary Club of Oklahoma City
• Passions: running, watching daughter Chandler play sports, book club, healthy food finds, anything Oklahoma
