Brainerd to build in Tuttle

TUTTLE - Tulsa-based chemical supplier Brainerd Chemical has plans to build a new plant and railway terminal on 31 acres of farmland here.

The new plant, which will serve as a distribution center for Brainerd to transport chemicals to its corporate and industrial customers, is expected to create about a dozen or more new jobs in the area.

Black journalists group to sponsor seminars on media
The Tulsa chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists will hold a two-part "Meet the Press Day" on Friday.

The morning session is free for college students interested in journalism, online media, social networking and the web.

Registration for the morning session begins at 9 a.m. with media sessions until noon. That session will be held at Langston University-Tulsa, 914 N. Greenwood Ave. More
